A vicious and cruel attempted deportation in Pollokshields was recently drowned in a sea of solidarity by local people. What began as a Home Office raid on two men, which saw them snatched from their home and bundled into a van, ended with an awe-inspiring victory march of around a thousand angry protesters.

After two men were detained by the UK Border Agency in Pollokshields yesterday, the local community took a stand in defence of their neighbours.
