Romantic (and Chilly) Picnic in Queen’s Park

Best part? It’s a free, budget-friendly haven for Cupid’s escapades. Grab a wicker basket (or a cool bag if you’re feeling modern). Fill it with crusty baguettes, creamy cheeses, and plump and seasonal oranges from one of the many grocers on Victoria Road. Don’t forget that off-brand bottle of sparkling wine or that flask of warming herbal tea. Grab your favourite cosy blanket (and maybe an umbrella - it’s Glasgow afterall!). And enjoy your romantic picnic.

Browse Romance Novels in Your Local Bookshop

The Southside has a couple independent bookshops that have something for just about everyone. Category Is Books and Burning House Books have a whole host of queer literature and romance novels for all kinds of people (and preferences). If your LGBTQ+ and looking for something unique for you or your partner then why not give them a try? The staff are friendly and have lots of knowledge on their books, so bring your partner, say hello and browse away before stopping off for a coffee somewhere local.
