Where We Stand. An exhibition about Scotland's community ownership journey over the last 100 years… and where we go next.
We are delighted to be bringing this exhibition back to Glasgow.
Where We Stand is an exhibition organised by Community Land Scotland, featuring work by contemporary artists that tells the stories and achievements of the pioneers of community ownership - a movement that has transformed Scotland. One of the featured artists has worked with both Govanhill Baths Community Trust and The Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust.
Artists include: Virginia Hutchison, Richard Bracken, Colin Tennant, Saskia Coulson, Francia Boakye, Kate O’Shea, Emma Duncan, Ann Little, and Helen Walsh.
This exhibition seeks to connect community groups with the work of these artists, to explore the journey of community ownership over the last 100 years, and to ask: What do we want next?
Curated by Iain Craig, the exhibition originally toured parts of Scotland in summer 2024 in partnership with the Travelling Gallery, and has been seen by over 7,000 people to date.
Where We Stand will be open from 18 – 25 June at the Komplex Gallery, 72a Victoria Road, G42 7AA.
Open daily from 12pm to 5pm.
